The Northport - East Northport Kiwanis officially began the fund drive to build a new playground by presenting a substantial check to DDI.

The playground will be named in the Memory of fellow Kiwanian Bob Cummo, who was one of the leading advisors to the statewide Key Club. The Key Club is the Kiwanis activity group for high school students intended to instill a sense of giving back to the community. Northport - East Northport Kiwanis currently sponsors approximately 150 students in 4 Key Clubs in local high schools (Northport High School; Walt Whitman; Smithtown East; Smithtown West).

Our Kiwanis club will be working with other clubs throughout Nassau and Suffolk on this fund drive. There are plans in the works currently with DDI for some events to help raise monies for this effort. We will keep you posted!
